Academy’s Genius Swordmaster - Chapter 310
[ 310. Father ]
#310
“Son. Wake up.”
“Ughhhhhhhh…”
Ronan groaned as he lay down. My whole body was swollen as if I had come out of the water. When I barely lifted my eyelids, I saw a savior looking down at me with his hands behind his back.
“Mistress, I’m surprised…what is it?”
“What is it? Did you forget to go on a picnic?”
Ronan hated it and raised his upper body. He was lying on a rough wooden bed. Through the half-open windows, the scent of soil and grass and wildflowers permeated.
“here is…?”
Ronan looked out the window and tilted his head. The scenery of Nimburton, his hometown, was unfolding. Beyond the low fence stretched out hills where sheep roamed.
‘Why am I here? What was he doing?’
On the winding river, the village children were playing with their rafts. There must have been something important, but I couldn’t remember. The savior, who confirmed that his son had risen, suddenly turned his back.
“If you wake up, let’s go. No matter how much Iril and your mother annoy me…it’s embarrassing that I don’t have much time left.”
“yes?”
He left the room without answering. I don’t know why you say that because you don’t have time. Come to think of it, it seemed like it was the first time I was going for a walk with my father.
“Why are you talking like that?”
Ronan, who was talking to himself, stood up. He didn’t notice that his height had shrunk by more than half.
After putting it on, I went out to the living room, where my mother and Iril were waiting. The dazzlingly beautiful mother and daughter were already ready to go out. Iril, who must have turned 10 by now, waved and said hello.
“Ronan! good morning!”
“Oh, our prince is awake. Dad is waiting outside. Shall we go soon?”
“What do you like?”
Ronan nodded dryly. Iril ran over and grabbed his hand and led him.
“Ronan! Just follow my sister! You will never get lost this time!”
“okay. Yes…”
As soon as I left the house, the refreshing sunlight poured in. The savior stood still and admired the blue sky. Hearing the door close, he turned to his family.
“Everyone is out. Then I’ll tell you our destination for today. Exactly…”
“Go far today! further!”
“Hey, hey. Daddy is talking.”
Iril jumped up and urged the savior. Her mother smiled and stopped her, but it was impossible to stop the girl from playing. The savior, who was looking at his daughter with warm eyes, reached out.
“okay. Then shall we go to the top of that hill today? Even if it looks close, we have to go a long way.”
His index finger was pointing at a hill some distance away. A large oak tree grew at the top, and it could be seen from a distance. Iril clapped his hands in delight.
“Wow! great!”
“Is Ronan okay?”
“I like anywhere.”
Ronan affirmed. In fact, he enjoyed wherever he went with his family. The savior, who had been looking at him quietly, nodded.
“that’s right. So do I.”
So the short trip began. Ronan strolled down the street with his family, enjoying the view of his hometown. We greeted the residents we met along the way and asked each other how they were doing. Ronan raised his eyebrows when he encountered Asher carrying a backpack.
“Oh, Asher. Where are you going?”
“Ughhhhh… My mother asked me if I had any intention of learning magic properly… so I’d like to go to Jedo Island.”
“Oh oh. it’s magic Yes, try it once.”
Ronan patted him on the back. Asher left a polite greeting for Ronan’s family and headed to the wagon. I thought I would live like a coward for the rest of my life, but I was fortunate to find what I wanted to do. Suddenly, a sudden question reared its head.
‘By the way, have I ever met him?’
Apparently we didn’t say hello once, but I couldn’t figure out what was going on. Ronan shrugged his shoulders and moved on again. Spring flowers were blooming profusely on both sides of the trail.
“Oops. Let’s bake and eat these guys too.”
The savior who succeeded in fishing said while lifting four trout. It still looked very fresh fluttering. They were having lunch on the banks of the river that runs through Nimburton.
“Wow! Dad is the best!”
Iril smiled and clung to the savior’s neck. The mother who saw the scene covered her mouth and laughed.
Ronan’s family forgot their lunch box with the trout they just caught. The river dyed in the same indigo color as the sky was beautiful. Not long after we finished eating and set off, Iril started rubbing his eyes.
“Ugh… I’m sleepy after eating…”
“Would you like me to lift you up?”
“No, no…! I can go too!”
Illil shook Ronan’s hand. Seeing her dozing off, she didn’t seem to be able to last long, but it seemed that she didn’t want to be taken care of by her younger sister.
“I can go…Kuuuu…”
“Whew.”
Iril, who was stubborn, soon reached the point of walking in his sleep. It was magical if not stopping to walk even while drooling.
“I knew it would be like this.”
Ronan, who sighed heavily, was in the car trying to carry her. The lead savior stopped in place.
“I don’t move. miss.”
“I really can carry it.”
Ronan spoke, but the opinion was not adopted. The savior, holding Ilil in one arm, started climbing the hill again. The mother next to me asked playfully.
“Oh, can’t you listen to me too?”
“Is that so?”
As soon as the words came out, the savior hugged her mother. It was very impressive to see them carrying a mother and daughter in their arms. Mom let out a short scream and slapped him on the shoulder.
“Kyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa All of you too Everyone is watching…!”
“How are you?”
The savior spat out. My mother was embarrassed, but not disliked. The savior maintained that state and walked for a while longer.
After looking around and resting, the sun was already setting when we arrived at our destination. The cool wind smelled of wool. The shadow of the village with its back to the setting sun was stretched out.
“Kuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu…”
“You really… can’t be here…”
Iril and her mother were sound asleep, leaning against an oak tree. Only Ronan and the savior were standing side by side, admiring the blazing sky. The savior looked back at the two and smiled.
“You sleep well. Certainly Erill resembles your mother.”
“Iknow, right. Except for the hair color.”
“Yeah, how was your day, Ronan. Did you enjoy it?”
“Well…in my own way.”
Ronan groaned. It didn’t show much, but it was an undeniably happy time. The savior, who stroked his hair a couple of times, turned his gaze toward the setting sun again.
“I’m glad.”
And there was silence for a while. I always felt that when I was alone with my father, I didn’t have much to say. It was about the time the sun began to sink below the horizon.
“This was my wish.”
“yes?”
“I mean going out with the family. no one could have predicted This is the dream of the man who created the terrifying Nebula Klazier.”
Ronan shrugged his eyebrows at the sudden savior’s words. His eyes were wet with melancholy as he watched the setting sun. Nebula clage? What is it?
“Ronan. I want to apologize to you again.”
“What are you talking about all of a sudden?”
“I was a really lazy person. Like Leel, he put a particularly heavy burden on you. I wanted to show and teach you more. Like other fathers.”
“So what is that…”
“And now, even at the last given time, I couldn’t give up my selfishness.”
Ronan didn’t answer. I couldn’t figure out what it meant. The savior continued to speak at will.
“Since this is the last time, I originally wanted to take you to a better place. Among the scenery that I have seen for an uncountable long time, there are so many beautiful things that leave me speechless… Nevertheless, the reason why I chose this place as my first and last outing is…” The savior suddenly pulled his tail
. He turned his gaze and met Ronan’s eyes. Ronan was already a hand taller than him.
“How to say… I can’t think of a better place than a place where the whole family has been together for a while.”
The savior has spoken. Suddenly, a bolt of lightning struck Ronan’s head. Forgotten memories came back at once.
Giants who transform into particles and disappear. The falling sky and the back of the savior who raises the shield. Ronan, who stumbled on his forehead for a while, looked back at the savior.
“Wait…”
Where is this place? Why am I here? Before I knew it, Iril and his mother were nowhere to be seen. The landscape of my hometown was crumbling from afar. Ronan was perplexed at the unknown phenomenon.
“Damn what happened?”
“It’s okay. Because somehow this crisis was over. I’m sorry I couldn’t be with you until the end.”
“That sounds like dog shit again, Father. Is it the last?”
Ronan asked excitedly. The savior who heard the word father suddenly raised his hand and covered his face. A watery voice leaked from his mouth as he took in a rough breath.
“Father. Ha ha ha…”
The savior laughed. He muttered the word father over and over, then removed his hand from covering his face. There were clear traces of water flowing under the red eyes.
The savior, who placed his hand on Ronan’s cheek, opened his mouth.
“It’s always nice to hear that.”
He had a benevolent smile, just like when we first met in the glass coffin. Ronan tried to say something more, but no voice came out. Before long, the fading landscape of my hometown turned completely blank.
Ronan muttered in the distance of consciousness.
.
.
.
“father?”
Ronan opened his eyes. The vision that had been dark for a moment became bright again. Faced with the white colored sky, he raised his body as if he was about to jump.
“What the hell is this…”
Ronan wrinkled his brow as he looked around. A desolate world was out there. The first thing that caught my eye was the moaning allied soldiers and the shattering savior shield.
“Ahh…whose eyes…!”
“Kkeuh…”
Everyone was suffering with their eyes closed. There didn’t seem to be any deaths, but they never looked better.
The landscape beyond the shield had turned into a barren wasteland. In the place where all the dense forests and mountain ranges had disappeared, only a wind mixed with dust was blowing.
【Keuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu…!】
The dragons, including Navardoze, were moaning as they fell to the ground. Intense burns covered their bodies. Unlike people, most of them were flying in the sky. Ronan brushed his bangs and murmured.
“…what happened?”
I had to figure out the truth. Suddenly, a familiar back figure was captured in a corner of Ronan’s field of vision. The savior was standing in the same posture he had last seen. The sight of him raising his arms toward the sky was very confident.
“father.”
Ronan called him, but the savior did not answer. Ronan, who stumbled closer, sighed. The savior froze in that position, suffocating.
“…father?”
His eyes were open, so it seemed that he was still alive. However, the place where I put my hand did not feel warmth anymore.
It was death without a doubt. An indescribable wave of emotion was rising in Ronan’s heart. Suddenly, a familiar voice resounded from high in the sky.
“at las. Are you dead?”
