Academy’s Genius Swordmaster - Chapter 39
39. Rodolan (1)
#39
Ronan succeeded in capturing Cirilla and Eduon. They were taken by the hands of the soldiers who had followed them. The soldiers took basic measures to prevent Cirilla from dying during the detention.
“The elves are bleeding profusely. Bring potions and bandages.”
The area below Cirilla’s left knee was neatly cut off. Her bleeding stopped only after pouring the potion.
“What the hell is this? Are your limbs growing?”
On the other hand, no such action was taken against Edoon. In the place where his limbs used to be, sprout-like tentacles wriggled out.
The soldiers carrying Edoon on a stretcher became contemplative. Ronan approached and grabbed a torch held by one of the soldiers.
“Give me this.”
“Oh!”
Chii profit! Ronan burned all four cuts with a torch. uhhhhh…! A moan of pain flowed from the stunned Edoon’s mouth. The struggling tentacles shriveled and stopped regenerating.
It was a scene where the taste of rice was dripping. Ronan murmured as he spat on the floor.
“Nimi, is this also some kind of magic?”
“I don’t know because I’m not well versed in this side either.”
“No matter how great magic is, I don’t want to learn it. But where are these babies going? There is something I must ask you.”
“Well, since it was a crime against an individual and not against an empire, you’ll probably be escorted straight to Rodolan.”
“Rhodolan? A prison floating in the dawn?”
“okay. The interrogators there will make them vomit everything they know.”
It was a place Ronan was familiar with. Rodolan, Fortress of Scream. A place where criminals who have harmed the empire where screams and tears do not stop are imprisoned and interrogated.
Rodolan’s inquisitors, trained in sadism and tenacity, literally said they would get confessions from suspects “at any cost.”
“If you’re feeling uneasy, don’t worry too much, I’ll set up a place to meet you separately.”
“Damn… You look great today, Instructor. Really.”
It looks great. Upon hearing that, Nabi Rose’s eyes widened for an instant. She snorted and pointed at La Mancha with the tip of her chin.
“Hey, by the way, it’s a unique sword. Did Master Doron make it?”
“yes. Will you kill me?”
Nabi Roze affirmed silently. The energy emanating from the sword was unusual. If it wasn’t for his stature as an instructor, he’d want to change it and wield it later.
“Anyway, you worked hard, Ronan. The achievements you and your friends have made will be reported to the principal as soon as they return.”
“I just did it because I could.”
“Since it happened in a secret place, it will be impossible to win the award in a vacant position, but there will definitely be a separate congratulations. As someone who owes a debt to Gran Cappadocia, I express my gratitude.”
Butterfly Rose smiled. The corners of his eyes were swaying. Come to think of it, it was the first time I saw him smile properly.
Perhaps, as Adeshan said, he is a really good person. Ronan thought so and touched Edoon’s limbs with the torch once more. Chii profit!
“Keuhuhuhhh…!”
Ronan headed to Gran Cappadocia with Nabi Rose. Rescue work was in full swing at the ruined smithy. Phileon’s educators, the imperial army in light armor, were busy moving people and supplies.
“there! Clear the wreckage first. Be careful not to damage the equipment that is still in good health.”
“yes! Major Avar! I’m glad to see you like this!”
“Sometime after he was discharged, what did the major do…let’s cheer up a little bit more!”
Avar, the imperial swordsmanship instructor, was leading the soldiers. Dozens of animal-shaped spirits were carrying debris. The ear-pierced elf, presumed to be a spiritist, was watching the scene with a long pipe in his mouth.
“Wah ha ha ha! It’s still not worth the price, brother. I haven’t seen you in a while, what is this like?”
The appearance of the hunting instructor prayer room was also visible. He was chuckling as he handed a bottle of water to Didican, who was sitting against the wall. It was impressive to see Didikan, who is much bigger, be polite to the world.
“I’m sorry, brother.”
“Sorry! If I have the same mind, I’d like to teach you the prayer room style self-defense right now…but now I have to go downstairs. Maybe there are people left!”
“Your brother is always full of energy. Have a hard time….”
Kidokan, who was blowing his nose, ran towards the mine. As expected of Ronan, he was making a great contribution to finding the injured.
Didikan met Ronan’s eyes and raised his hand to greet him.
“Oh Ronan. Did you have a good meeting with the King of the Cave Giants?”
“There were bigger things. I also found a site to build a new Gran Cappadocia.”
“Site…?”
Seeing Didican’s behavior, Ronan grinned. He still looked haggard, but most of the injuries scattered across his body had disappeared.
Maybe Sheeta fixed it. Didican said, pointing with his thumb to a corner of the ruins.
“Your friends are gathered over there. I owe you indescribably. thank you so much.”
“It’s okay, man, you saved Doron.”
“It’s not just because of Doron’s inspiration. There are many injured, but very few deaths.”
All of a sudden, Didikan shook his legs and stood up. He bowed in half and thanked Ronan.
“You saved the future of smelting as well as Gran Cappadocia. Thank you very much. I will not forget.”
It was a huge thank you. Ronan smiled awkwardly once and headed to the place Didican said.
It was a place to lay the wounded who had not yet been brought to the ground. The wounded were lying on the long mats laid in a row, groaning.
“Can I leave it there?”
“That’s right. You’re still a young lady, so you’re strong…”
Before long, I saw Marja carrying five boxes of relief goods. Upon discovering Ronan, she exclaimed happily.
“Ronan is alive!”
“Then would you live or die?”
Marja put the box down. She approached with open arms and embraced Ronan.
“Why are you so hurt?”
“I took the giant king’s fist with my sword.”
“He’s making strange noises again…”
“But could you please let go of it, young lady? I really want to die.”
The body’s large chest made it difficult to breathe. Marja, blushing, hurriedly pulled away. Ronan looked around the scene and patted her on the shoulder.
“great job. You brought a lot.”
“huh. Everyone seemed to take things more seriously than I thought, so I did something…it was worth it. What exactly happened down there?”
“I’ll explain properly when I get back. It’s a long story.”
“Ah, suffering!”
Ronan passed Marya and walked along the giant. Asher and Sheeta were lying side by side in the most painful spot. Ronan squatted at their bedside.
“Good job.”
“Huh…uhhh…uhhh…Ronan?”
“Piyaaa ….”
Both of them were noticeable. It was because of excessive exhaustion of strength in the rescue operation. Ronan continued by scratching Sheeta’s stomach.
“Your skills have improved, Asher. You’re a great wizard, just.”
“Oh no… I’m nothing…”
“At times like this, act confidently, man. If it weren’t for you, all those dwarfs would have died underground without having to dig a grave.”
“That kind of…”
“I was able to do it thanks to you and Marja. Thanks for following me from Nimburton. Asher.”
Ronan said calmly. Asher’s large eyes filled with water. Sheeta, who had been rolling around with her wings stretched out, let out a cry of regret.
“Knack!”
“Sita, you too.”
It was he who killed the giants and eliminated the culprit, but a sword is just a sword. It would have been impossible without the help of the people around me. Realizing the importance of talent once again, Ronan said with a smile.
“Then I will go. I am resting.”
“Uh…where are you going?”
“I have two bastards to hang on to.”
Ronan moved to the ground following Nabi Rose and the soldiers in charge of the escort.
After walking up and down the winding road for about an hour, the open night sky unfolded before my eyes. The wind that swept through the lungs was incomparably refreshing compared to that of the underground.
“This is…”
A turquoise forest shimmered beneath the far-off cliff. Ronan widened his eyes at the deja vu landscape. The place I stopped by when visiting Penardo Sam. It was Shemo Forest, which was in close proximity to the islands.
“It’s almost time to come…”
The officer in charge of the escort looked at his pocket watch. Before long, something gigantic flew rapidly from the other side of the night sky. It was a convoy pulled by two griffons dispatched from Rodolan.
– Pyoo oh oh!
“No kidding, really.”
Seeing the griffon, Ronan stuck out his tongue. The guards dispatched from Rodolan were wearing all-black clothes and masks shaped like bird beaks.
They filled additional restraints on Cirilla and Eduon, who were already crippled. Cirilla, who came to her senses belatedly, opened her eyes wide and shouted something.
“Let’s go to sleep…eup…eup!…eup!!”
hooked One of the guards saw this and inserted a syringe into Cirilla’s throat. As the green drug flowed in, Cirilla lowered her head.
The handover was completed in less than five minutes. The guards, who remained silent until the end, boarded the convoy with the two men. Ronan shook his head as if he was fed up.
“They are very quiet people. I wouldn’t be welcome at a party or something.”
“You know how to distinguish unnecessary actions.”
The soldiers flinched and retreated from the wind pressure generated by the Griffon flying up. Ronan was relieved only after the convoy vanished as a dot.
Ronan went back to Gran Cappadocia to help the people. The rescue operation was completed around noon the next day.
“I’m here Lucy…”
“Oh! Molly why are you like that? What happened?”
“I’m going to sleep for a while… Oh… I’ll take off my socks…”
Puffed up. Returning to the dormitory, Ronan hurriedly collapsed onto the bed. He was able to shake off the accumulated fatigue in his body only after sleeping all day long.
“…what is this?”
When Ronan woke up after two days, there was a crouching Sheeta and a letter next to Ronan’s bedside. Ronan yawned and broke the seal.
Ronan’s eyes widened as he read the letter slowly.
“…already?”
A letter from Rodolan informed them that the interrogation of the two had ended.
****
The sound of the waves was rough. The salty sea breeze tossed her hair. An elderly man who came out to meet me bowed and greeted me.
“Both of you have worked hard to come a long way. Were you uncomfortable?”
“Okay.”
“It wasn’t bad. Although it almost split my butt horizontally.”
Nabi Rose kept his promise to prepare a seat.
the afternoon of the day the letter was received. Ronan and Nabi Rose moved to Rodolan in a vehicle pulled by Griffon. The ride comfort was the worst, but I was able to endure it thanks to the beautiful dawn seen from the sky.
“I’m glad. Then follow me.”
The old man smiled softly and turned around. A bird’s beak mask was hanging from the waist of the man in black, but it was different in shape from the one worn by the guards before. Nabi Roze said.
“I am an interrogator, not a jailer. Of all the nightmares that Rodolan’s prisoners have to have, it’s a particularly terrible one.”
“Are you the old man who likes people like that?”
“Don’t you know that you can’t judge the world by appearances alone? Anyway, I don’t know if I’m doing the right thing.”
“why?”
“Even if you think about it a thousand times, it’s not a place you would bring a student to. If it wasn’t you who caught them, I wouldn’t have brought you no matter what.”
Nabi Rose frowned as if in displeasure. Ronan looked up and looked at Rodolan, the Fortress of Scream. Rising out of the middle of the sea, this huge, pointed structure looked like a reef that could run any ship aground.
When Rodolan’s door opened, an unexpectedly sophisticated and neat space caught my eye. Ronan thought this place was a pretty decent job. Only for the deaf.
Shouts and sobs rang out from all directions.
“Quaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! stop stop!!”
“Kill me, please kill me…!”
“Hee hee hee hee…”
Ronan followed the man into the depths of the fortress. On both sides of the long hallway were thick iron doors. A different scream came from beyond each door.
I must have walked for about 30 minutes along the maze-like road. Finally the old man stopped.
“Im here.”
In front of him hung a door that looked much thicker and stronger than anything he had ever seen. The old man, who took out a long and complex-looking key, looked back at the two and said.
“A formally written document will be reported at a later date, but for now, I will briefly tell you what I found out in Rodolan. Nebula Clazier. That is the name of their organization.”
“Nebula Clash?”
Ronan tilted his head. It was a name I had never heard before.
“yes. They were behind the large-scale accidents of unknown cause that took place all over the continent for nearly a year. The cross-validation has definitely ended, such as the explosion accident that occurred in Etemen, a magic engineering research institute, in the great fire that swept through the grain belt of Nalanda.”
The old people are Cirilla and Edoon. So, I listed the crimes committed by Nebula Klazie. All of them were serious crimes that could have a profound impact on a specific field. After hearing the old man’s explanation, Ronan raised his hand and asked a question.
“Did you ever say what ‘the coming of the stars’ is?”
“That…it’s the first time I’ve heard of it. Was there anything like that?”
“is it so? they’re fucking bastards I ask what.”
“I thought you spit this out, but you still have something to hide…”
A cracked smile appeared on the old man’s face. Ronan almost put his hand on the hilt of the sword at the moment of eerie energy.
He pressed the bird’s beak mask from his waistband to his face. It was a mask reminiscent of an eagle devouring a corpse.
“I will ask about old age. I don’t know about Nabi Roze, but Ronan is still a young student. I’m worried that there will be a shock to the young mind. Are you really okay?”
“I am the one who cut off those limbs.”
“Huh-huh… It’s going to be a different look from then.”
The old man put the key in the doorknob without questioning further. The door opened with the sound of dozens of locks moving. A terrifying groaning sound that could hardly be believed to have been made by a human leaked out. “
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa …”
Turn it off…”
“Fuck.”
Seeing the appearances of Eduon and Cirilla, Ronan narrowed his eyes. It was so terrible that if you show it to one hundred people, ninety-nine people except the blind will vomit or pass out.
A humorous voice flowed from beneath the inquisitor’s bird-beak mask.
“Did you have good dreams?”
