Golden Mage - Chapter 13
Volume 1, Episode 13
Though the shortness of breath magic didn’t bring remarkable results from El’s perspective, it greatly improved Silphir’s mana resonance.
To elevate one’s magic class, three things are necessary.
First is mastery of magic. By naturally using magic and gradually becoming familiar with mana, one’s understanding of magic deepens, and handling mana becomes more natural.
The second is the resonance with mana.
Magic is cast by resonating with the mana in the atmosphere and arranging it according to specific formulas. With better mana resonance, the power of magic increases, and one can cast spells more swiftly.
The last is enlightenment. This is somewhat vague, as it involves seeking one’s own path.
Until the 6th class master, one only needs a certain level of knowledge and understanding, but from the 7th class onwards, one must gain enlightenment about their own direction.
Though Silphir is not yet at the 7th class, she managed to achieve the two difficult tasks of improving her mana resonance through the shortness of breath. This naturally elevated her class by mastering magic.
Silphir looked at El. Feeling his gaze, El looked back, and she gave him a beautiful smile.
“Elly was there, so Mom could achieve this. Elly is so trustworthy and lovable.”
Hearing Silphir’s words filled with faith, El smiled in return.
“I’m glad you think that way, Mom. Oh, instead of celebrating your achievement, how about we go to the Banjak to have some fun? It’s good to lift our spirits on occasions like this, right?”
“Is that so?”
At Silphir’s words, El raised an eyebrow. She had been dedicating herself to training for the past three months to reach the 5th class mastery, so she did feel like getting some fresh air.
She turned her gaze to Serena and Kaina. They seemed excited and blushed at El’s proposal. Since they hadn’t gone outside the village since coming here, the prospect of an outing thrilled them.
Seeing their emotions, Silphir smirked and nodded.
“Let’s do it, Elly. Of course, Elly will pay for everything, right? After all, you make a lot of money with your magic stones. Now that Mom has reached the 5th class master, you won’t refuse, will you?”
“Haha, of course not.”
El laughed. In his past life, he had resolved to amass wealth and become the richest man on the continent to support his mother. However, that was no easy task. Well, he wouldn’t waste money needlessly, but when he decided to spend it, he had a lot to spare, especially after earning a fortune from selling magic stones.
El turned to Serena and Kaina. They were looking at him with anticipation, blushing at their young age. To El, who usually saw them as mature, Serena and the usually aloof Kaina now appeared like girls their age.
El nodded cheerfully. Then, looking at Silphir, he grinned.
“Alright! Then let’s have a meal and get ready right away.”
With his words, El and Silphir started their meal. Serena and Kaina joined them at the table.
After finishing their meal, they prepared and set out for Banjak.
El had wanted Silphir to have a husband and focus solely on him, but he never thought of remarriage himself. He hoped Silphir would love only him.
Of course, this love was not between man and woman but a motherly love. In his past life, as a child who lost his parents at a young age, he had an intense desire to monopolize his mother’s love. Seeing Silphir getting remarried was something he firmly intended to prevent.
However, Silphir didn’t seem to have such thoughts.
The moment they entered the dress shop, the elegant middle-aged lady warmly greeted El’s party.
Her eyes widened when she saw Silphir. Then, her eyes grew even larger when she looked at Serena and Kaina. The exceptional beauty of Silphir and the girls was a rare sight to behold. From their attire, Silphir seemed like a magician.
The lady enthusiastically said, “Welcome… Wow, you are all such beauties.”
After stepping into the dress shop, El was in for a treat.
Silphir, who resembled a golden-haired goddess, tried on various dresses, not looking like a woman with a son at all. Serena and Kaina were the same.
Wearing a pure white dress, Serena exuded an aura of a sacred saint. Kaina gave off the image of a passionate goddess with her fiery dress.
El felt his heart race, witnessing the sight of them trying on different dresses. To think that his own women would be so captivating.
Upon seeing his reaction, Silphir suddenly turned to him.
“You know, I just remembered that Bryon Toppu said he wanted to see you. Remember him?”
“Grandpa Bryon?”
Although their relationship had practically ended after obtaining the magic formulas, there was still a thread connecting them. But now, the one who had to find that connection was not Bryon but El. At the sudden mention of Bryon coming to see him, a mysterious smile crept onto El’s face.
“Ah, right. It was because of that.”
He then turned to Silphir and asked, “What do you think? Shall we go to the Banjak?”
Silphir pouted slightly and said, “Well, it seems you’ve already decided to take your women along with you. There’s no point in asking me now. But I suppose I have to bear with it and accept it with a broad mind. Come on, let’s go to the Banjak.”
Hearing her words, El was taken aback. Was he really seen as the type of person who took his women along with him?
Seeing El’s expression, Silphir smiled and said, “But I know. So let’s go to the Banjak.”
Feeling somewhat defeated, El sighed.
“Phew! You really….”
Saying that, El followed Silphir to the Banjak.
The blushing Serena and Kaina cautiously followed behind. They couldn’t suppress their excited hearts at the mention of “their women.”
