Golden Mage - Chapter 48
Volume 2, Chapter 18
King Ledof treated the wounds with emergency potions, but the Royal Guards still had pale faces as he gave them orders.
“It’ll be tough, but we’re taking them back to the palace.”
“Understood.”
The guards with relatively minor injuries took care of the black knights. Among the surviving black knights, Leaderbel was among them.
Once comrades, but now a traitor, the guard coldly dismounted Leaderbel’s body and placed it on a horse. Other black knights did the same, slowly starting to move.
As King Ledof drove his horse towards the palace, he glanced back for a moment and whispered in a voice so low that no one could hear.
“Even if I don’t know who they are, they’ll regret it. Maxel… Kran… I hope it’s not you.”
King Ledof’s eyes were as cold as ice.
Back at the inn, El recounted everything he had witnessed to Sephira, Serena, and Kaina. Sephira spoke with a concerned tone after hearing El’s story.
“Isn’t this dangerous then? If they can mobilize three Sword Masters and over fifty Sword Experts, they must be a formidable force…”
El nodded. He, too, felt the danger of the organization that seemed to effortlessly wield such power.
El said to Sephira, “But it’s okay. I made sure they couldn’t establish any communication. And once we meet the Tolian King, and I take control of Troll Valley, no one will be able to touch us, except for a few 8th Class Masters and Grand Masters.”
El’s confidence grew when he mentioned the possibility of facing multiple foes.
Indeed, Serena and Kaina looked expectant at El’s words.
After all, El had declared to create the continent’s strongest Golem and had delivered the Golden Knight, showing unmatched prowess against Grand Master, Duke Cline.
El doesn’t make empty promises! They firmly believed in him.
Sephira nodded, “I trust Eli and came this far. I can’t doubt him now. How do you plan to gain support from the kingdom?”
“That’s… Well…”
El explained the plans he had devised to obtain the kingdom’s support.
Sephira and the others were impressed by El’s ingenious ideas. They found his thoughts to be highly innovative.
“That’s really impressive.”
“Isn’t it?”
Serena couldn’t help but marvel, and El smirked.
“But won’t there be limitations?”
El shook his head in response to Serena’s question.
“No, actually, the neighboring territory reaches the sea, so we can acquire it at a reasonable price. Therefore, once we capture it, there won’t be any financial worries.”
The three of them nodded in agreement. If El’s plans worked out, they would be able to earn a substantial amount of money.
The conversation eventually came to an end with El’s final words.
“Now, I need to meet the king and negotiate before we finalize the detailed plans. The overall outline is already set, so it’s just about refining the specifics.”
“Right. It might take a lot of effort, so I’ll take my leave now.”
Sephira stood up as she said that. However, Serena and Kaina didn’t get up and wore slightly disappointed expressions. It seemed like something was bothering them.
Seeing this, Sephira gave a wicked smile. She glanced at Serena and Kaina before teasing them.
“Why don’t you two stand up? Are you really feeling reluctant to part with Elly like this? Don’t worry. His room is right next door… You can sneak in and sleep together at night.”
“What are you saying!”
El couldn’t handle Sephira’s words and interrupted her. The thought alone made him shudder.
Seeing the sisters’ reactions, Sephira’s wicked smile deepened. It was a mischievous look characteristic of her.
“Why not? Elly, you’re at the perfect age for marriage. Surely, when you see these two beautiful ladies, you feel something stirring inside, don’t you? You’re at that age. It’s natural!”
“Ugh!”
El blushed deeply at Sephira’s probing. Serena and Kaina also blushed and lowered their heads.
“Haha!”
Watching them like that, Sephira burst into laughter. The two sisters might be unmatched beauties, even compared to the most beautiful woman in the Bliard Empire, Sephira. Their looks were captivating, and as they matured, their beauty would only shine brighter.
El, with his handsome appearance, attracted the attention of these beautiful women, but he remained indifferent. As El’s mother, Sephira felt it was her duty to confirm whether El was a proper man or not.
Seizing the opportunity, Sephira relentlessly questioned El.
“But you should say something, right? Elly, honestly tell us! Don’t you feel anything when you see Serena and Kaina? You’re at that age, after all. It’s only natural!”
“Uh, no! That’s not…!”
El rejected Sephira’s claims vehemently, and Serena and Kaina blushed even more, bowing their heads.
“Ah, no… I mean…”
Seeing their reactions, El’s face turned red, and he stammered in response. He had not expected Sephira to tease him like this.
Sephira enjoyed watching their reactions.
“Haha!”
