Golden Mage - Chapter 55
Volume 2, Chapter 25
This is a name that dwarfs even the top 100 of the continent.
The Top 10 on the continent weren’t even half as powerful as the rest of the Top 100 combined. That’s how imposing the names of the Top 10 were, a towering fortress that no one could surpass.
But now, Devel mentioned the Top 10 to El while listening to his business plan. In other words, Devel was saying that El’s plan was of significant value.
“To think you’d consider it that way, I’m deeply honored.”
El couldn’t help but smile at Devel’s words.
No matter how exceptional El was, he was still a magician. From a merchant’s perspective, his business ideas were bound to be flawed. So, he was secretly curious to see how Devel would react to his proposal.
But the reaction surpassed El’s expectations. His plan received an extraordinary response, and El himself couldn’t help but smile with satisfaction.
With their spirits lifted by El’s business plan, they returned to the main topic of their conversation.
Devel asked El, “So, when should we start recruiting people to build the Matop?”
“The sooner, the better. After our conversation, I’ll head straight back to Troll Valley and start organizing things there.”
“Then I’ll gather people as quickly as possible.”
“Thank you for your assistance.”
El’s words prompted Devel to applaud.
“Compared to what you’ve done for me, this is nothing. Please, do say such things.”
“If you think so, then I’m also very pleased.”
“I sincerely hope that things go smoothly for you, El.”
El stood up from his seat.
There was much to do. He had to organize Troll Valley now.
“Well then…”
“Goodbye…”
As El disappeared from sight, Devel was lost in deep thought.
The more he saw, the more he realized that El was an unpredictable boy. Reaching the 7th class at such a young age… and coming up with ideas that no one else could think of.
Devel, as if tossing the question at the vanished El, asked, “Just how far can you go…?”
And so, El gained the greatest support in building the Matop.
The mighty ruler of Troll Valley, Troll King, awoke from his slumber sensing a secretive aura approaching.
“Kruuuru!”
He woke up in a bad mood, growling fiercely as he stood up from his throne.
Surprisingly, the height of Troll King was a whopping 8 meters.
It was easily 2 meters taller than the known Troll Kings on the continent.
But that wasn’t all. There was a faint aura surrounding Troll King, the same Dark Aura that came from Dark Soul. Troll King had reached the point where he could emit it faintly throughout his entire body, something that could usually only be used during combat.
Even by the continent’s standards, Troll King, who was already stronger than the well-known Sword Masters, had now achieved a level of power that was beyond imagination.
Troll King’s senses were drawn to a certain spot in the field.
There, the 5-meter-tall Golems were standing their ground.
And high above the ground, El’s eyes shone brightly. He had succeeded in summoning the Golems and stimulating Troll King’s senses to draw him out.
“I did it!”
But in an instant, El’s expression turned astonished as he exclaimed, “What is this…? He’s a complete monster!”
El had prepared several methods to lure out Troll King. Some of them failed, but the last resort, which was to stimulate Troll King’s senses, turned out to be successful.
However, the Troll King was a complete monster.
How could a Troll be 8 meters tall! It was much larger than the Troll Champion El had seen a while ago.
“He’s truly a monster. No wonder he commands other trolls to follow him.”
While observing Troll King, El scrutinized him carefully.
Troll King’s movements were full of ease. El saw it as the ease of a powerful being.
Indeed, the aura surrounding Troll King was formidable. And within the Dark Aura enveloping his entire body, El felt a hint of danger.
“It might be dangerous…”
El muttered without realizing.
The Dark Aura from Troll King was not just an ordinary power. It was far stronger than El had anticipated, making it difficult to predict its true strength.
Dark Aura had a destructive power that surpassed that of regular Aura. Although it had the weakness of lower defense compared to regular Aura, trolls had their unique resilience and tough skin. It was truly a combination of their respective strengths.
“Well, let’s see how strong he really is…”
If El were an ordinary person, he would have to risk his life. But he had Golems.
Golems could keep restoring themselves even after being destroyed. It was their strength and advantage.
“Go!”
With a burst of energy, three Golems rushed towards Troll King like the wind.
“Kruuur! Kruuuru!”
Troll King felt something approaching him and instinctively raised his wooden club to defend himself.
With that, the massive club collided with the Golden Blade enveloped by Dark Aura.
Kwaang!
“Kruuur?!”
Troll King yelled in disbelief. The wooden club that had been in his hand was now shattered into pieces, and his hand, which had gripped the club, was dangling as if dislocated.
“To withstand that… amazing.”
Seeing Troll King’s appearance, El made a bitter face.
The recent attack from the Golden Knight was meant to be a lethal blow to kill Troll King instantly. But he endured it.
Indeed, he was truly a monster. Even though he was already three times the size of an ordinary Troll, he was still a monster, to say the least.
El stared at the dislocated Troll King, considering whether he should order the Golden Knight to finish him off. But then he hesitated.
“Wait! Instead of killing him, wouldn’t it be better to capture him and use him as a subordinate?”
In an instant, an idea came to his mind.
Why not? There were various ways to make a monster into a subordinate, even if it was considered dark magic. By combining mental magic and the right elements, it could be possible to turn him into a loyal subordinate.
Turning Troll King into a subordinate… From that moment, El’s decision was made.
