Helmut: The Forsaken Child - Chapter 170
# 170
Helmut
Episode 170
Side Story – Their Vacation
“There is no contact from Michael… indeed. What on earth are you doing in that hot country? “I’m so worried.”
It was the luxurious drawing room of the mansion. A woman was sitting in her seat with a worried face.
She was so beautiful and elegant that she could be considered the epitome of a lady with flowing blonde hair and blue eyes, and she did not look middle-aged at all.
The black-haired girl sitting across from her tilted her teacup and opened her mouth calmly.
“Michael will come back when I leave, so you don’t have to worry.”
“Charlotte!”
“It’s true. Michael doesn’t like me. “That’s probably why I stayed away during vacation, when I could see him for a long time.”
“Don’t say things like that. That kid went to Basor’s martial arts club to look for talent. “For our family.”
The woman added with a stern expression.
“And Michael, he’s just jealous of you. “That kid is weak.”
“I know.”
“I hope you understand. You are healthy and attending the academy. Michael still gets sick often. “How lonely must it have been since you were alone at the academy?”
“…your mother.”
A bitter smile passed by Charlotte’s lips at the words that sounded like blame. It was a familiar thing.
“Besides, you should go back soon too, right? How are you doing at the academy?”
The mother was so worried about Michael that she did not pay any attention to Charlotte who came back from vacation. Charlotte couldn’t help but be conscious of that fact.
Even though it has been that way since the moment I came out of the boat with Michael.
Sick Michael and healthy Charlotte. From there the problem started.
Charlotte calmed down her emotions and answered calmly.
“I’m doing well. “You know that I am the valedictorian of the first year of the swordsmanship department.”
The woman spoke as if she knew this for the first time.
“Oh my, that’s amazing. “If Michael had been able to attend the academy, he would have been a good student.”
“…More than that, my mother, there is a senior named Helmut in the swordsmanship department at our academy.”
Charlotte, who had said that much, glanced at me. However, her mother seemed to be focused only on Michael, who she could not contact.
“He is a commoner, but his skills are very outstanding.”
“Things like that happen, too. As you know, even among the knights of our family, there are quite a few of commoner background.”
Her mother responded strangely. When I asked her anything more, the woman didn’t show anything even after hearing the name Helmut.
‘Do you not know each other?’
After exchanging a few more words, Charlotte left, saying she would practice swordsmanship.
After a while, the expression of the woman left alone in the room slowly changed.
‘It’s Helmut.’
Confusion fell on her face. Memories were immediately brought back from the distant past.
She lowered her head, made the sign of the cross, and steeled herself. It was an old habit.
*
Spacious training center. A boy wiped his sweaty forehead. He put down the wooden sword and looked up at the sky. Beads of sweat were forming on his white face.
“Is vacation coming to an end soon?”
The boy, Asuka, frowned as he thought about returning to Baden.
I devoted myself to swordsmanship throughout my vacation, but I don’t know if the results were satisfactory enough.
‘Somehow this monster-like guy showed up.’
Asuka, with the image of Helmut in her mind, kicked the floor for no reason.
It’s not a relationship worth missing, but he came to mind. Helmut probably wasn’t playing around during vacation either.
‘But it will be different in the second semester!’
Asuka strengthened her resolve.
“Asuka.”
Someone came up and spoke to him. He was a middle-aged man with a certain dignity.
A handsome man whose face can be seen in his youth. Anyone can see that he is of high status.
Although he and Asuka had different impressions, they had some similarities. When they stand together, there is no doubt that they are related.
“I heard you got good grades this semester. Don’t be satisfied with that, just move forward.”
Asuka’s expression slightly distorted as she faced the man who spoke calmly. Asuka grinned.
“Sure. Oh, have you ever heard of my nickname at the academy? “They say he’s the crazy dog of the swordsmanship department.”
“Do you think I don’t know?”
“Oh, you knew.”
Asuka raised her eyebrows sarcastically and laughed provocatively. It was the same expression he had when he was arguing at the academy.
But the man was unfazed.
“I heard you were imitating a commoner. Was it fun?”
“Yes, it’s really fun. It’s perfect for the aptitude. “To the point where I want to live like that forever.”
Someone’s shout was heard from over there.
“Asuka!”
A noble lady with an innocent look was already approaching. Asuka muttered with an expression of regret.
“mother.”
“I told you not to talk like that. “Are you going to upset me like this?”
Asuka slowly looked away. The man continued speaking regardless.
“I’m glad that he seems to be adapting well to the academy.”
“That’s right, I’m doing well. “You didn’t cause an accident anymore?”
“It is not good to keep arguing with nobles.”
“So you’re saying it’s okay to have a fight with a commoner?”
“Now that you have adapted to the academy, why not find a friend who is suitable for your position?”
Asuka’s face suddenly distorted.
“You’re talking nonsense!”
His mother looked like she was about to faint.
“Asuka! “What are you talking about to your father?”
“Each person has their own place. I hope you realize that too.”
“Ah, you must be so young. “I really appreciate your advice!”
Asuka let out a nervous sigh and picked up her sword. There was no one who could stop him as he jumped out of his seat.
This place, which he had to return to every vacation, was an extremely uncomfortable place for him.
“I’m sick of it. “I can’t wait to leave.”
Asuka muttered. Before that, I probably have to comfort my weak-hearted mother, who is crying while looking at the man’s behavior.
*
It was a study room filled with books. Area was engrossed in reading as usual.
Even after vacation, his daily life did not change.
You need to build up your strength quickly and escape. The object to which the thought referred happened to appear.
“Area.”
“What is your business?”
Area, who was reading a thick magic book, looked at the woman who called me with a stern expression. There was not an ounce of goodwill toward her in Area’s eyes.
But the woman smiled calmly.
“Yes, that roommate. “I heard you’re incredibly handsome?”
Alea’s expression became distorted.
“So are you even interested?”
Think about the age difference. It was just that kind of look.
However, the other person was also an immoral person who would not care about that. Archmage Heike. Achievements of the temple.
The reason she was nominated as a deity by the temple was not because she had committed a crime or dabbled in black magic, but even that reason was contemptible.
The day when Area will like her will never come. No matter how much she is Area’s teacher.
“What are you interested in?”
The woman who answered with a smile was dazzlingly beautiful. Long silver hair and purple eyes.
Even her face was very similar to Area’s. However, there was a difference in that it looked more seductive and mature.
Even her body was so voluptuous that anyone could not help but lose their eyes.
“I’m glad the room assignment went well.”
“Are you kidding me?”
Alea looked suspiciously. Somehow, the dean said that he made all kinds of excuses out of fairness.
It was not difficult for this woman to roll the upright dean in her hands. The woman asked without answering.
“How does it feel to share a room with a boy? “Isn’t it different?”
“Don’t even dream about me wanting to be like you.”
Area gave her a cold look and turned his back on her.
“I heard you’re friendly with that roommate?”
“at all.”
A deep smile appeared on her lips as she watched Alea leaving the study.
‘You asked for an artifact that can change that guy’s appearance, right?’
This was a fact that the dean was suspicious of and relayed to him. The boy’s artifact was not a gender-changing object like Area’s, but it had similar properties. I don’t think that’s a coincidence.
Heike’s sense was quite good. If they know and pretend not to notice, it means that their relationship is quite good.
If it were Area, it would have been worth it to kick out her roommate by any means necessary. The fact that he did not do so also proved that fact.
‘Area looks like me. Although he denies it.’
Their natural magic, intelligence, and beauty are all similar. So much so that no one can deny it. Watching her grow up was just as enjoyable as watching my own childhood.
‘It’s such a fun thing. Let’s move a little.’
Heike smiled while holding a strange plan. In her mind, Area’s circumstances of having to hide the fact that she was a woman were not even on her mind. The only thing that matters is her fun.
Area, who returned to the room carrying several books, tilted her head.
‘That witch is disgusting.’
I’m worried that I might try to trick Helmut for no reason. How many men had Heike driven to ruin with that young and beautiful body? Her being an archmage was truly a disaster.
‘When I get back… I’ll have to stay away from him. I still have a wish, but only for a while.’
Area recalled the resolution that had not been fulfilled throughout the first semester.
It was inevitable during the first semester because we were roommates, but it would be possible since we would be changing rooms as the semester went on.
Soon, some kind of grumble came out of my mouth.
“But this guy told me to contact him in case of danger, but he really didn’t contact me even once during vacation.”
Helmut would not have contacted me simply because he was not in danger. Area knew that too.
Sad? This is absurd. Nevertheless, Area couldn’t shake off the feeling of being low.
But they would soon meet again. At the Academy in Baden.

Sian, sitting in front of the table where a rich meal was laid out, picked up a fork. All the food suited his taste.
It was a cozy meal with family. The mother with a gentle expression asked.
“Xian’s vacation is already over, right? “I’ll be returning to the academy soon.”
His father also chimed in.
“Just last year, you were complaining all the time about how boring the academy was. “Not so this time.”
“It’s kind of fun these days. “Compared to last year?”
Sian grinned. My younger brother burped loudly. The mother quickly kissed the child’s mouth. His father bowed his head towards him and scolded him like a parent.
“Then, try taking the chief position. Isn’t it a shame to be the runner-up for three semesters in a row? “It’s only a first-class car.”
“That’s unreasonable. “There is an incredible genius above me.”
“You’re a genius too.”
“Hmm…a different level of genius?”
Xian tilted his head. He immediately put down his fork and complained.
“No, if you have a second-place son, be proud! How hard is it to get a second place position at Greta Academy, which is said to be filled with only the brightest! “You’re saying too much that you can’t be a senior!”
Xian’s father cleared his throat.
“Who says they aren’t proud? “That’s because it’s a shame.”
“Okay, okay. “Our honor student son.”
Sian’s mother patted his back coolly. Among the four, he was the only one who spent his vacation in a harmonious environment.
