Necromancer Academy’s Genius Summoner - Chapter 247
Necromancer School’s Summoning Genius Chapter 247
“The winner is student Simon Pollentia!”
There was no applause or cheers.
Only dead silence hung among the nobles.
Since today was the Dresden royal family’s ball and this was the royal palace the nobility could not applaud Simon for his victory. He was just glancing at her with surprised eyes.
“Prince!”
“Gwa are you okay?”
Royalist aristocrats rushed in and checked the state of the fallen prince.
Lorraine and Serene approached Simon with light steps.
“Are you okay Simon?”
said Lorraine brushing off Simon’s messy clothes.
“Yeah I’m fine.”
“Nice job. Simon~”
Serene approached with a gentle smile.
“Now I feel like my skills are on track even without using that power.”
“That power?”
Serene shrugged at Lorraine’s question.
“You don’t have to know. It’s a secret that only Simon and I share.”
Simon smiled bitterly. If you explain it like that again there is room for misunderstanding….
“Her Highness the Queen is appearing.”
“!”
Suddenly the crowd split left and right.
A woman appeared in a fancy dress that anyone could see that she was the queen. She was a middle-aged woman with a rather chubby body and a chilling impression.
“Meet Her Highness the Queen!”
Everyone bowed to the queen.
She stepped forward and looked down at the fallen Andre. He had just come to his senses and as soon as he opened his eyes he saw the queen and trembled with a frightened expression.
“A pitiful thing.”
There was no hint of affection in her cold words.
“I don’t want to look like that. Get rid of it.”
The black knights came and grabbed Andre’s arms and dragged him away. Lorraine was watching the queen like that.
‘It must have been all your ploy.’
Unlike the king who was cooperative with Kizen the queen was a typical anti-Kisen faction. It is her wish that her kingdom be freed from Kizen’s influence forever.
The sudden interruption of the party Andre’s intrusion all of that must have been the queen’s plan. Of course everything would have been ruined by Simon’s defeat of Andre.
“….”
Perhaps out of resentment for ruining the plan the queen glared at Simon with fearful eyes.
In response Lorraine came forward and received her gaze instead and Serene directed her gaze toward the queen while telling Simon to speak.
In the end the queen could not say anything more and turned her back and disappeared.
* * *
After the duel the ball resumed normally.
Simon went to seek treatment. The royal doctors looked at Simon’s condition and fortunately he was diagnosed with good health except for slight symptoms of fatigue and anemia.
While Simon is being treated like that.
Fuck!
jump!
Violent violence was taking place in the palace where the queen lived.
“To be humiliated like this at a ball!”
The queen was mercilessly beating Andrew with her boots.
She was an ordinary person and Andre was a necromancer but Andre did not dare to meet her eyes properly.
In fact Andrew’s cruel personality came from none other than the queen. When her eyes went round and round there was no blood or anything. With the exception of Princess Molly whom her king adored dearly she had no children who were not right for her.
“Do you think I gave you a chance to do this!”
When the queen found out that Princess Molly had invited Simon’s party to the ball she decided to take advantage of it.
He told Simon to go to Andre whom he had a grudge against and challenge him to a duel and promised to do all the cleaning up himself.
It was a good opportunity to break Kijen’s nose but Andre was ridiculously defeated by the first year. The royal family was greatly disgraced and in the end only Kisen’s honor was raised.
She stopped gasping for breath and snorting with an angry face. Her shoes were already covered in blood and so was Andre’s face.
“promise.”
her mouth was open
“What was the promise you made to that child when you were defeated?”
The queen had already heard of the dark knights and knew the situation.
Andre drew an R in front of his chest and decided to accept Simon’s condition even risking the name of the royal family.
“….”
In the meantime Andre’s lips which had been calmly accepting the violence trembled.
A look of great fear and frustration was evident on his face.
“Tell me without lies.”
she said opening her eyes. Andre trembling with fear as if he were about to die spoke in a tight voice.
“The exclusive right to attack one dungeon in the kingdom…”
Her expression hardened.
At the same time her feet slowly descended. Andre shouted as if she were hanging on because he knew what it meant to stop her violence.
“Oh my God! I…!”
“You are no longer my son.”
Andre’s heart sank with a thump. Leaving her mouth open with her empty eyes the queen left her room.
‘A stupid thing!’
Dungeons have enormous potential value.
There may be some resources or treasures but I’m handing over one of them to a 17-year-old kid who’s stuck and doesn’t know anything.
Perhaps the fate of the kingdom may come and go depending on the boy’s choice.
I wanted to slightly intimidate him this way and make him change the reward to something appropriate but there were giants named Lorraine and Serne next to the boy. It is impossible to threaten.
‘Still I’m a teenager who doesn’t know anything. I’ll have to try another reward tomorrow morning.’
* * *
“I will refuse.”
said Simon who was resting in bed.
The treasurer who came with a new proposal from the queen was taken aback by Simon’s refusal.
Contrary to the saying that if you persuade him well he will come over Simon didn’t even listen to all the suggestions.
“Ha student.”
The treasurer puts his hands together and has a business smile.
“Doubling the commission amount is a whopping 4000 gold. 4000 gold! That’s enough money to buy several houses! Think again…”
“Wow~ Adults eat the kids’ backs~”
Serene interrupted. She had been sitting in Simon’s room since yesterday sitting in his chair trimming her fingernails.
“If you sell the right to clear the dungeon you can get tens of thousands of gold instead of 4000 gold. Are you going to play around with just 2000 gold? Because they’re kids they’re just screaming that they don’t know much.”
‘Please don’t interfere…!’
The treasurer bubbling inwardly but trying to keep a smile on his face said:
“Haha! Her Highness the Queen says that you can specially raise it by three times. Not only that but she also said that she would personally award merit…”
“Treasurer.”
This time a voice came from the other side. An ebony-haired girl in a pink pajama she had brought from home was lying on the sofa swinging her legs alternately.
She took her eyes off the book she was reading for a moment.
“Simon was nominated for an unfavorable duel but he fought to the death and won. He was just demanding compensation for his promise. Was the name of the royal family so light?”
‘I’m going crazy really!’
Before Simon could say anything those two girls were admonishing him like lawyers.
Operation Carrot doesn’t work. In this case it was necessary to change the direction of the operation a little.
“I’m ashamed to tell everyone from other countries…”
Moist water mixed with his eyes.
“In fact the kingdom’s financial situation is very difficult. Recently due to the severe drought in the grain belt Her Highness has skipped meals saying she will share the pain with the people…”
“Oh that’s your case.”
After interrupting the treasurer’s words Serene put down the hand mirror and crossed her legs coquettishly.
“What are you doing right now? If you made a promise in the name of the royal family you have to keep it. Since you’re still a student did you think you’d be able to get over it if you just flinched?”
“I-I’m talking to Student Simon right now!”
The treasurer looked at Simon sweating profusely. Simon said with a soft smile.
“Serne’s words were what I wanted to say.”
‘Keugh…!’
I got it right wrong with the weird kids.
I thought it would be a very tough negotiation. Prince Andrew who had uttered the words blindly in front of so many people was on the verge of resentment.
‘I’m sure this! I can’t be bullied with the authority of an adult.’
His gaze briefly shifted to Lorraine in her pink pajamas.
If that girl opened her mouth in front of the witch of death the whole kingdom could be blown away.
Rumor has it that the island in the sky of Ephnell was also razed to the ground.
“Do not worry too much.”
Simon said.
“Because I’ll choose a dungeon that won’t be too much of a burden to the kingdom.”
“Sir student Simon! Please reconsider one more time…!”
“Wait a minute then how about doing this?”
Serene stretched out one leg and put it on the chair.
Then she started taking off the stockings she was wearing.
“???”
The treasurer was making a dazed expression at her sudden action but she took off one stocking and walked in front of the treasurer.
“Reach out your hand.”
The treasurer held out his hand as if possessed and she slipped a stocking into his hand.
“It’s an additional provision. I’ll give you this so do it as promised on condition that you pass the dungeon. How is it?”
“…!!”
The treasurer’s eyes trembled with emotion. Suddenly she felt a sense of relief inside her as if her chest was suddenly being released and a tangled ball of thread was being unraveled all at once.
I wonder if this was how ancient scholars felt when they uncovered the secret of the rune language after 100 years.
“That’s right! Stockings! Stockings! I couldn’t bear to think of such a trick!”
“Then let’s go report to Her Highness the Queen.”
“Yes! Yep! I see!”
“What are you saying all of a sudden? Now wait!”
Before Simon had time to stop the treasurer rushed out of the room at full speed.
Lorraine spat out with a pitiful expression.
“You have a really bad personality.”
“Ho-ho-ho!”
The treasurer ran through the palace at full speed. The only thought in his mind was to deliver this good news to Her Highness the Queen.
“His Highness the Queen! Her Highness the Queen!”
The treasurer entered the queen’s room.
Coincidentally she was in the middle of an emergency meeting with officials in her room and jumped up when she saw the treasurer’s bright smile.
“You look good! Have you reached an agreement with those little boys?”
“Yes I did it!”
The treasurer raised his stockings with a flash of pride. There was a hole in it and the stocking which he could no longer wear dripped from his hand.
“Stockings! Stockings! We’ve added a condition to the contract that we get these stockings!”
“….”
A thick silence fell in the room.
“Isn’t it great! I thought that this was absolutely worth the dungeon!”
The officials stared at the treasurer as if they were some kind of madman.
In addition the queen as well as the ladies-in-waiting who were cleaning the room were sending contemptuous glances.
“Take out the author right now and beat him with a stick until he comes to his senses.”
“yes yes?”
The officers grabbed the treasurer by the arms and dragged him out of the room.
“Wow Her Highness the Queen! It’s unfair! Please look at this! It’s stockings!”
The treasurer was wearing stockings until the moment he was taken away.
A bright feather was stuck in the nape of his neck.
