Serpent Ancestor - Chapter 12
Chapter 12: Xu Hei Battles the Black Bear Demon
Muscles in his body tensed, and a cracking sound echoed from within as the Demon God Cauldron automatically activated. The terrifyingly fast digestion of the evil wolf began!
The digestion speed was unprecedented!
The massive body of the recently devoured wolf rapidly shrank, and in just a few breaths, Xu Hei returned to his normal size, expelling a pile of black ash.
Everything happened so quickly that the surrounding wolves only noticed their companion was missing after the fact.
“I’m so hungry, so hungry!” Xu Hei once again lunged at another starving wolf, opening his bloody maw and biting down on its head.
With a contraction of his throat, the entire wolf was swallowed instantly.
The wolf pack was thrown into chaos, retreating in fear. They had all seen that this serpent was attacking them! In the blink of an eye, it had devoured two wolves!
At this moment, Xu Hei burped and expelled more black ash, digestion completed.
“Not enough!” Xu Hei flicked his tail and darted off like a phantom in the snow, targeting another wolf.
He bit down, toppled it, and swallowed it in one smooth motion. In just two breaths, another wolf was consumed.
The wolf pack was in total disarray, fleeing in panic.
Just as they dared not attack the bear demon, now faced with Xu Hei’s onslaught, the wolves were terrified, their escape routes leaving them food behind.
Xu Hei, seizing the opportunity, sped up like lightning, devouring one wolf after another with insatiable hunger.
In an instant, four more wolves were swallowed, their resistance non-existent, vanishing the moment he got close.
It was as if Xu Hei was consuming mere chicks.
“Little rabbits, don’t run away!”
As he consumed the wolves, Xu Hei’s eyes grew even more excited. He felt an emptiness, as if he were a beast that had been starving for a long time, with no sign of satiety.
The Demon God Cauldron also frantically refined qi and blood, emitting a constant craving.
Xu Hei was driven by his most primal instinct: the instinct to kill!
Xu Hei charged forward, swallowing the wolves one by one. Every target he focused on met with an inevitable end. In no time, the wolf pack was reduced to mere scattered remnants, disappearing without a trace.
It was only at this point that Xu Hei let out a full burp, and his digestion slowed down.
Despite eating so much, he still felt something was missing.
Xu Hei’s gaze shifted, and he looked to the side.
“Uwoo!”
A roar came from ahead.
The bear demon glared at Xu Hei with a pair of sinister eyes, baring its teeth and growling warnings from its throat.
Xu Hei showed no fear. He coiled his serpent body, raising his head high to scrutinize the creature before him.
Xu Hei couldn’t help but gasp in amazement.
“My heavens! What a fat pig! How did this pig get so big?”
At this moment, Xu Hei regarded the bear demon as a fat pig.
It was the largest pig he had ever seen, standing four meters tall. Could he even swallow it?
“Doesn’t matter, I’ll swallow it first!”
Xu Hei made a sudden dash towards the bear demon.
“Roar!!”
The bear demon roared in anger.
Despite its injuries and a blind eye, it would not tolerate any beast challenging its territory!
It raised its bear paw and swiped at Xu Hei, creating a fierce wind with a hint of thunder and lightning.
But to Xu Hei, it seemed like the fat pig was lifting its trotters to strike him.
“Damn! Even fat pigs can fight back now!”
Xu Hei, though dazed, reacted with extraordinary speed, maneuvering in a bizarre way.
In mid-air, Xu Hei bent his body like a rubber band, dodging the attack and hanging onto the bear demon’s paw.
The fierce wind didn’t blow Xu Hei away. Instead, he used the momentum to propel himself onto the bear demon’s face.
The tip of Xu Hei’s tail, with its scales upright like a sharp sword, stabbed into the bear demon’s eye.
“Shush!”
“Roar!!!”
The bear demon let out a horrifying scream, frantically slapping its face with its paws, trying to knock Xu Hei off.
“Ouch!”
Xu Hei was thrown away but felt no pain, only increased anger.
“How dare a fat pig hit me! Watch me bite off your pig head!”
Xu Hei raged and lunged again, biting into the bear demon’s face.
“Roar!”
The bear demon cried out in agony, grabbing Xu Hei’s body. Xu Hei retaliated by slashing with his tail, severing the bear demon’s paw.
“Even pigs dare to resist? I’ll make you regret it!”
Xu Hei’s eyes were fierce as his body slammed into the ground and sprang up again. His massive tail whipped like a whip, striking the bear demon’s face.
Blinded, the bear demon couldn’t see and wildly flailed its paws.
“Wham!!”
A cracking sound echoed as the massive bear demon’s head was sent flying, like a soccer ball, crashing into a tree and falling to the ground, motionless.
The bear demon’s body froze and slowly fell to the ground moments later.
“How dare you hit me! I’ll kill you!”
Xu Hei, still unsatisfied, charged forward and relentlessly struck the corpse, turning the bear demon into a meat patty.
Only at this moment did Xu Hei start to catch his breath, his body exuding heat as it gradually cooled down.
The cold wind blew, and snowflakes fell.
Xu Hei shivered and observed the surroundings.
“That’s right, there are bear demons and wolf packs nearby. I can’t delay any further or they’ll come and snatch my food! I must eat it quickly!”
Xu Hei, even in his dreams, remained cautious and unwilling to be careless.
Without hesitation, he bit into the bear demon’s leg, swallowing it from the bottom up.
However, the bear demon was too large—four meters long, while Xu Hei was only a two-meter small creature. After swallowing a small portion, he could no longer continue.
But when it came to eating, Xu Hei refused to back down!
He could be hesitant in battles, and cautious in dangerous situations, but if he hesitated when eating, he’d rather slam his head against a wall and quickly reincarnate.
“I’ll swallow, I’ll swallow, I need to get it down!”
Xu Hei’s snake skin tightened, showcasing his remarkable flexibility as he continued to force the food down.
Before long, the entire bear demon was completely swallowed.
At this point, Xu Hei had grown to an astonishing four meters in length, his body swollen into a small hill, bloated and elongated, resembling an oval shape, with his scales stretched tight.
He perfectly embodied the concept of being too greedy—a serpent trying to swallow an elephant.
Xu Hei simply couldn’t move anymore, lacking even the strength to crawl. His mouth could no longer close, and he immediately blacked out and fell unconscious.
After Xu Hei fainted, the Demon God Cauldron activated automatically, drawing the bear meat inside and quickly refining it.
Intense heat and vitality surged into Xu Hei’s muscles and bones, reviving him once more.
Xu Hei opened his eyes, and the scene before him had become clear.
His head was no longer dizzy, his body was no longer hot, and his vision was restored.
“Eh? Where is this?”
