The Homemaker of the Dungeon - Chapter 10
Housekeeper in the Dungeon Episode 10
Woo Min-ah was extremely surprised to hear Heena’s ‘Home Sweet Home’ skill. He said he had never heard or seen a skill that provides a space called ‘home’.
“This is a really great skill. Like you said, if you want to live a normal and safe life, never tell anyone. “You could be dangerous.”
“is it so?”
Since she had received a free house without much thought, Hee-na did not understand Woo Min-ah’s serious attitude.
Woo Min-ah spoke to Hee-na as if making a request.
“I heard you can bring in and take out external items? Have you ever thought that you could be kidnapped by a rat or a bird and used as a smuggling shuttle? “Your stats are low, so your self-defense ability is low, but you have an unusual skill. If people with bad intentions approach you, you’ll be in real trouble.”
“omg.”
That’s what I heard and saw. As Woo Min-ah said, Heena swore to herself not to tell anyone about her ‘Home Sweet Home’ skills from now on.
Aside from pointing out the dangers of her abilities, Woo Min-ah was shocked when she saw the first photo of the studio apartment taken with her cell phone.
“What about this house that I won’t buy even if I pay this much?”
“Oh sister. “You said earlier that my abilities could be dangerous?”
“That’s it and this is so dirty!”
It was an undeniable fact.
“that’s right. So I just cleaned the house for 3 days and 2 nights. “I just finished it today right before I contacted my sister.”
“Will a house like this get better if I clean it?”
Woo Min-ah was skeptical.
Heena felt as if her abilities were somehow denied by her attitude, so Heena flipped through the photo album on her cell phone and showed her all the photos taken right after cleaning.
The first thing Woo Min-ah said while quietly looking at the photo album was this.
“…So this is what you cleaned up? “Isn’t this a completely different house?”
“no. That’s right, I did everything. This also benefited from my skills. ‘Smart fingertips.’”
“What are ‘wild fingertips’ again?”
When asked, Heena read the description in the skill window as it was.
“Smart fingertips. D rank. He gives satisfaction to everyone with his skillful workmanship. Passive skill… it is written like this.”
“It seems like its abilities span a wider range of areas rather than being limited to cleaning.”
“That’s my opinion too. I think it’s a skill that helps you do housework overall. Should I say that my basic skills are improving?”
“hmm. I think this skill would be very useful. How about something like a housekeeper? “I think you can make quite a bit of money if you post these pictures you took and get a job.”
Finally, realistic advice has emerged. But Heena shook her head.
“I want to become a full-time office worker who comes to work on time and leaves work on time. I was a little offended by what my sister said, but in the end, being a housekeeper is just like a freelancer. “I feel very anxious because my income is fluctuating, and there are four major insurance issues…”
Woo Min-ah stuck her tongue out at Heena’s concise answer.
“You really are a person who pursues extreme stability. “There is no sense of challenge in this young person.”
“Safety is best. “My life motto is to cross a stone bridge only after you have seen others crossing it.”
“hmm. “They just don’t cross the stone bridge.”
Woo Min-ah rested her chin and fell into thought at the serious reply. Heena scratched the back of her head and spoke as if making excuses.
“Anyway, with a personality like this, I think it’s best to live like a normal person, right? So, I’m contacting companies here and there to look for my next job.”
“Is that going well? “They say it’s hard to find a job these days.”
Heena’s heart was bruised by Woo Min-ah’s unexpected fastball.
“…no. Still, you still have plenty of time, so you can search slowly. “I’ve been in the workforce for 5 years, but I can’t find my next job?”
“I’m still looking for my next job, so you’re saying there’s nothing to do right now?”
As if she wasn’t an advanced hunter, Woo Min-ah was also good at hitting the same spot again. Heena reluctantly nodded.
“That is correct. Actually… I want to work right now, but the problem is that there are no jobs.”
Then Woo Min-ah thought for a moment and pulled a chair closer to the table and sat down.
The sight looked somewhat solemn, so Heena sat up straight.
Finally, Woo Min-ah licked her lips once and proposed to Heena.
“Do you want to try working at our guild?”
“yes?”
Heena threw up her hands at the unimaginable offer.
“Sister, I’m in D grade. Last time, I barely made it out of an E-class dungeon alive. The total body strength is less than 30, and as you heard earlier, there are no attack-related skills at all. But how do I join the Blue Dragon Guild? “I know that even if I wanted to, I wouldn’t be able to get in with my ability.”
The words came out of my mouth in a rush. Anyway, the conclusion was to not even say nonsense.
“Fuhahaha!”
Woo Min-ah laughed out loud when she saw Hee-na’s pale expression. Then he waved his hand.
“As I said before, not everyone who joins a guild becomes a hunter. A guild is also a company. Can a guild survive if there are only hunters in the company? There is an office team, a management team, and a human resources team. Surprisingly, it is no different from an ordinary company. Not everyone who joins an entertainment agency becomes a celebrity. “It’s the same thing.”
Heena’s face turned red at Woo Min-ah’s point.
“I was mistaken when you asked me to join the guild…”
“Yes. “So do you want to listen to me now?”
“Yes…”
Heena responded calmly. Woo Min-ah smiled at that sight as if it was cute.
“Not long ago, a member of the facility management department’s environmental sanitation team resigned. Oh, what is your position? The explanation is a bit complicated, but you are a sanitation worker.”
“Don’t large corporate buildings usually subcontract cleaning companies to temporary workers?”
Woo Min-ah responded to the realistic point.
“Because it is a guild where hunters frequently come and go, there are security maintenance issues and some areas require some expertise. So, we created a separate team and are managing it.”
It was a reasonable answer. More than anything, what caught Heena’s ears was the following sentence.
“Of course it’s a full-time job.”
“…a full-time job?”
“The salary is good too. “It’s because work is a bit hard.”
“How much did you tidy up?”
“You have to ask the human resources department about that, but you probably earn as much as an average office worker. It may be even more rewarding if you receive incentives or overtime pay. how is it?”
At the same time, Woo Min-ah secretly revealed her true intentions by asking me to meet up with her sometimes to eat grilled meat and drink alcohol.
It was a grand proposal fueled by greed for meat slaves.
“hmm.”
Heena was overcome with worry. Because it was such a sudden proposal.
However, Woo Min-ah’s proposal seemed quite plausible, and it was clear that in this ice age of employment, we should grab the golden rope and jump on the parachute.
“But can I do it well?”
“then! In my opinion, Heena, you are the perfect person!”
Then Woo Min-ah made a call to somewhere and spoke to someone.
“Hey, didn’t one of our facilities management employees quit last week? Are people full? Why? no. Just curious. I know a nice guy. Oh, you don’t like being young? no. But he does a really good job. I’ll send you what he cleaned. I think you’ll really like the results. The kid is really kind and genuine. Yes, yes. “I will send you a photo right away via text, so please contact me again if it’s okay.”
The call ended in an instant. Woo Min-ah received the photo from Hee-na, handed it to the person on the phone, and then put down her cell phone.
Not long after, the light on my phone came on. It seemed like there was a reply.
Curious about the results, Heena craned her neck and glanced at the screen.
Woo Min-ah smiled and showed the message on her cell phone.
[Human Resources Team Leader Kang Mok-hyeon: It looks okay. Still, I have to have a face-to-face interview, so set a date.]
* * *
The next day, Heena was standing in front of a large building wearing a neat interview suit she had hastily borrowed.
It was the Blue Dragon Guild.
‘I never thought I would have an interview in such a hurry.’
It was an opportunity that came so quickly that I wasn’t even nervous. Even though I wasn’t drunk, I felt like I still hadn’t woken up from the alcohol I drank yesterday.
“The god of grilling meat! Hee-na Lee!”
Heena looked around at the sound of people calling her name with an embarrassing title.
“Here, here!”
Just in case, it was as expected.
Woo Min-ah was the only guild member who knew Hee-na personally. She walked out of the building with great strides and put her arm around Heena’s shoulder.
“Hey my little brother. I guess there was no hangover. “I see your face is clean.”
It was a very close contact considering they had only met twice in total, but Hee-na, who had now roughly figured out Woo Min-ah’s personality, thought about it.
Woo Min-ah was very easy-going and had no hesitation in dealing with people. At the same time, he subtly won people’s favor without being burdensome. He had a very good personality.
“Yesterday, you and I didn’t drink much because we were giving career advice.”
“Look at your kind mouth. “If you go today and say hello, you will pass the prize.”
Woo Min-ah smiled and led Heena into the Blue Dragon Guild.
As it was my first time traveling, I was a little unsure about how to get to the interview site, but I was fortunate to have Woo Min-ah.
“Did you come to pick me up?”
“I introduced you, so shouldn’t there be a level of loyalty to pick you up and take you with you?”
“I know you must be busy, but thank you.”
Heena bowed her head slightly.
Woo Min-ah said it was no big deal and tapped Hee-na on the shoulder. Perhaps because he was an advanced hunter, his hands were quite spicy.
Heena smiled, trying to pretend she wasn’t in pain.
Woo Min-ah seemed to be a famous person within the guild. She accepted greetings from many people with ease and walked Heena to the interview room.
